Space and silence are precious commodities.
And, with the constant activation of the collective nervous system, it is hard to slow down. But really, it’s exactly what we need most as the world speeds up. To be loving, purposeful humans in this particular time in history, we need more space to listen deeply to the pulse of our own energy.
I find that the more hectic my life is, the less I believe I have the time to spare for practices that take me into silence. But of course, the opposite is true - when my life is full (often to the point of overwhelming) is when I need the counterpoint of stillness the most.
In this 23-minute breath practice (audio below), you are invited to soften the body, sink into the breath, and rest in a brief silence. Done regularly and with intention, it can help you create potent change. I find that breath practice offers clarity, energy, and joy. We need time for reflection and restoration to be the women we are, the women we want to be.
